Pure Chocolate is 91% cacao but isn't as bitter as your normal 90+% chocolate bar. It actually tastes more like 70-75% cacao.

4. Is Pure Chocolate vegan?
Absolutely! There are no animal-derived or dairy ingredients used in our chocolate. When you see the term "Cacao Butter," this is not actually anything to do with dairy butter but just a term used to refer to the oil from the cacao bean.

Yes! They are sugar-free and there is only 1 gram of net carbs per serving.
6. What are mycotoxins?
Mycotoxins are toxic compounds produced by mold. These are commonly found on grain, nuts, dried fruits, coffee beans and almost all cacao (not ours!). Some people are genetically more vulnerable to the harmful effects of mycotoxins, but they harm everyone. Different mycotoxins can disrupt the endocrine (hormone systems), damage organs, compromise immunity, and lead to serious diseases.
Our cacao is processed very carefully in small batches to prevent the growth of mold and formation of mycotoxins, as verified by multiple 3rd party labs.
7. Is your cacao ethically sourced?
Yes! The simple fact is that Fair Trade wages are often very low, well below our standards. In organic cacao production in South America, everyone is paid over "fair-trade" wages as there is more margin in the product. In other words, the chocolate is higher quality, so it can be sold for more, leaving more money to pay the people at the lower levels of the operation.
In the production of our cacao everyone involved gets paid 3- 4x Fair Trade prices. Fair Trade is primarily an issue in Africa where massive chocolate corporations drive the price per pound down so low that workers involved get squeezed to ultra-low wages or work in slavery.
8. Are your products allergen-free? Do they contain nuts, corn, soy, or gluten?
Our products are free of common allergens including nuts, corn, soy and gluten and none of these ingredients come into contact with the equipment that we use to make our chocolate.
9. What is stevia?
Stevia is a little green leafy plant (my aunt grows it in her garden) that tastes sweet but doesn't contain any sugar and doesn't affect blood sugar or cause problems for those with sugar-sensitive conditions. It's chromium content can actually help to keep healthy blood sugar balance.
Many stevia products have a strong bitter aftertaste, but not all stevias are created equal! There are different sweet compounds in stevia known as rebaudiosides- some of them are sweeter, some are more bitter.

10. What is birch xylitol?
Xylitol is a sugar alcohol, but that can be a very confusing name, as this is neither a sugar, nor an alcohol! It is a great sugar-free sweetener that adds sweetness without affecting blood sugar.

1. When will my order arrive?
This depends on the shipping method you select. For orders within the US, USPS Priority generally takes 2-3 business days, FedEx 2nd Day Air takes 2 business days, and USPS First Class takes 3-10 business days.
For international shipments, shipping usually takes 3-5 business days, but this also depends on customs clearance times, which can sometimes add a few days to the process.
2. How do I track my order?
We always strive to get orders shipped out as quickly as possible. As soon as we create your shipping label, you'll receive an email with the tracking link. If you haven't received it, you might need to check your spam folder. If it's not there either, please email us at info@addictivewellness.com and we'll get you the tracking right away.
3. How much does shipping cost?
Shipping cost will depend on what products you're ordering, where you're located and what shipping method you select. The best thing to do is add all your items to the cart and proceed to checkout. Once you put in your shipping address, you'll see all the different shipping options and prices available to you.
We do our best to make shipping as affordable as possible. We never add an "uncharge" on shipping prices as so many companies do and what you pay for shipping is always actually less than what the shipping companies are charging us.
We offer free shipping within the US on orders over $75 and internationally orders of over $200.
4. Do you ship internationally?
We ship internationally to almost all countries! We've had a hard time getting our products into Mexico, Spain, and Italy, but all other countries we've shipped to around the world have been very happy to let our products in.
EUROPE & UK: Our online store is built on the Shopify platform. Recently, Shopify's European banking partners decided that they didn't want to process transactions for companies selling herbal supplements. So in order to keep our store open, we had to remove the European/UK shipping option on our site. But we can still ship products to you! If you'd like to place an order to Europe or the UK, please send us an email to orders@addictivewellness.com with your name, address and a list of what you'd like to order. We'll reply right away with an invoice allowing you to securely input your payment details and we'll get the order shipped out to you ASAP.

5. Is your shipping packaging biodegradable?
During the hot months of the year, we have to use insulation to protect the chocolate from the heat. The kind of insulation material used will vary depending on the size of your order. If the insulation is blue, it is made from powdered stone, making it completely biodegradable and if the insulation is white it is absolutely recyclable.
